Music Sharing

Well a lot of people know websites that share albums when they come out and such. I know it is probably against the board's terms of service and that the place could get shut down. But I think it would be a good way for people to be introduced to new bands and a way to create decussion. I know I usually download at least 100 albums a month and I would be willing to put up any that I felt worth sharing up for people to listen to.

Just an idea, just throwing it out there.

I dont see an Issue with it. Just dont title threads revealing the stuff like 'Free steaming of new album here' or something like that.

Well it wouldn't be streaming, it would be downloadable. I would put the artist and the album name. Inside would be the album cover, tracklist, MySpace, and a download link.

I just hope people check out bands they've never heard of. Because I guarantee most people will have no idea who most of the bands I'm going to post are.

I guarantee that I won't know who they are.

I'll join in too, rapidshare/mediafire links are okay?

I personally prefer Madiefire over Rapidshare because you don't have to wait in between downloads. But Megaupload, Radishare, and Mediafire links will all be excepted. Basically anything that can host the file you want to share will be accepted.

I also want to make a suggestion for this, maybe have a request thread, where people who are looking for specific artists/albums/songs can ask to see if anyone has them.

Sweet! I think it'll be good for me to hear some new artists. I'm looking forward to this.

It is already up and running. I've uploaded a straight edge hardcore band and an Atreyu album that is a classic. Haven't really put anything to intense up yet, because it doesn't seem like a lot of people are too interested in listening to new bands.
