Which version of "Hurt?"

Both versions are amazing to me but which one would you choose to keep forever to listen to while never being able to listen to the other again?

NIN's For sure

While both version's are amazing, and it was Trent Reznor's creative genius that spawned the song, it's Johnny's for me, it was just so, him. It summed his life up perfectly, and before I knew that it was Trent Reznor that wrote it, I was sure it was a JR Cash original.

Johnny Cash. I LOVE the original, which was the Nine Inch Nail's version but I just felt like Cash's was more emotional and he made the song his.

Nine Inch Nails in my opinion.

johnny caches is beater by far but i only heard NIN live version and i usualy dont like live and i was to lazy to look up a diff version

Johnny Cash... he put way more emotion into, I mean it gives me chills and brings me to tears. You know you've done a good job when it does that to somebody.

Johnny Cash, I never liked Nails' version of the song, but Cash's sounds like alot more Raw emotion went into the song.

I liked the Nine Inch Nails version, but to me Johnny Cash's voice and the way he delivers the lyrics are just so much edgier. Nine Inch Nails wrote a great song but they made it to industrial. They should have put more of a metallic tone on it or even rock. Johnny Cash made that song sound like his own and did a fantastic job.
