Which Reunion are you most looking forward to this year?

Post by Sykesy on Sat Feb 28, 2009 2:41 am

Of all the bands, Which reunion are you most looking forward to?

Faith No More:

It looks like Faith No More will be joining the growing list of bands reuniting this year, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The band will reportedly reunite to tour Europe.

No dates have been announced yet nor have they announced if they will be expanding their tour to other parts of the globe.

Additionally, it appears that original guitarist Jim Martin will not be reuniting with the band.

Martin quit Faith No More in 1993, five years before the band called it quits. The lineup that will tour has yet to be announced.

Limp Bizkit:

Limp Bizkit have announced that they are reforming with the original band line-up for the first time in eight years.

Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal have joined forces once again to tour and record a new album. Guitarist Borland, who left the band in 2001 and returned briefly only to leave again in 2006, has apparently resolved differences with his bandmates.

"We decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other," Durst and Borland said in a joint statement.

"Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back."

Limp Bizkit will kick off a world tour in the spring, hitting the European festival circuit. They will also play their first-ever shows in Russia. Tour dates will soon be announced on the band's new website Limpbizkit.com.

Blink 182:

While it may not be the reunion we’ve been waiting for, it’s certainly a start. At this Sunday’s Grammy Awards, all three members of Blink-182 will briefly come out of their indefinite hiatus and share a stage for the first time since 2004 to present either an award or a performance, reports Rolling Stone. There has been no confirmation whether the band will perform or not.

While the pop-punk group may not performing, there’s still plenty of other groups who will be playing including Coldplay, U2, Radiohead, B.B. King, Paul McCartney with the Foo Fighters, and more.

The last time Blink-182 shared a stage was in December of 2004, just a few months before they announced they were taking a break. Since then, guitarist Tom Delonge started Angels & Airwaves while bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker created Plus 44. Things were rocky in the years following Blink-182’s demise but relations with the three members have since strengthened after they were brought together following the 2008 plane crash that almost took drummer Travis Barker’s life.

Another interesting bit of news that just hit the internet is that David Kennedy, the guitarist for the Tom Delonge-fronted Angels & Airwaves, May or May Not have confirmed with fans during a chat on ModLife.com that Blink-182 is preparing a new record, reports AbsolutePunk.net.

It’s all about wording and right now no one is 100% sure on whether he was saying that Angels & Airwaves are making a new record or that Blink-182 are making a new record.

Or other, Who you most looking forward to?
