Favourite genre Of music And why?
Im just curious into why your into a certain genre of music more then others.
Anyway ill go first.
Im stuck between three different gere's. Rock, metal and Nu Metal but i have to go with rock.
Rock has always been my favourite genre of music cause it can vary more then other genre's. you can have a really heavy rock band like Seether or Godsmack or Guns N Roses and then you can have soft rock like Oasis or the red hot chilli peppers. Then you got bands that cover both like Nickelback or Foo fighters. So there is a lot of intrest in rock. Also i like rock for how long it has standed the test of time. it began with the likes of Elvis, the kinks and The beatles and has got better as it has come along.
metal and Nu metal are great genres and have some of my favourite bands but IMo rock is a more Superior genre

Country, because I was born and bred in the country. I'll admit that it's not everyone's cup of tea, you either love it or you hate it. I don't like it when people bash it though, you can not like, but bashing it is just stupid.
A lot of "newer" country songs(meaning between around 1990-2000) are very "me". It's come a long way from dogs dieing, and tear in your beer, it's not about that anymore. Songs about rodeoing, songs about horses, songs about cowboys and cowgirls, they're all me. Personally I don't like the really old stuff, ie Hank Williams, because it was too damn depressing. Johnny Cash initially saved country music, he was totally different to anyone else, then between 1980-1990 it died, then Garth Brooks came along, and brought something completely new to it. I love the fact that there is a huge range to it, and the way it's evolved, I'll admit the really new stuff, I don't really like the sound to it, but I like the lyrics. That's why I love the "neo-traditional" stuff, the new lyrics, with the old sound.
And country songs, are simple songs, that anyone can understand, that's the best thing about it, I think.

Metal:
It's just one of those genre's that intrigues me. I tried rap, and I just didn't get it or care about it. It all sounded the same to me. I wanted something different. I was always interested in the music that went into songs. My dad always listened to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, those types of bands. I grew up listening to rock music. So I guess that where the love for rock/metal came from.
Later, I was introduced to Megadeth. I hadn't head of them, so I downloaded a couple of songs. I believe Symphony Of Destruction and A Tout Le Monde. These songs fascinated me. I'd heard about all the evil things to do with metal, but I didn't see such a thing. I loved how loud and brutal Symphony Of Destruction sounded to me, and then, from the exact same band, how softish and heartfelt that A Tout Le Monde was.
I started looking around on the internet for more music. I experimented with my listening. I saw a band that was recommended by someone, I'd listen to them. Soon, by branches grew in metal. I started listening to more stuff, like Killswitch Engage, Avenged Sevenfold, different genres like Thrash, Death Metal, and more.
I was hooked, and I wanted more. So I started looking at lesser known bands. In Flames quickly became a favourite of mine. As did 5 Finger Death Punch, 36 Crazyfists, Children Of Bodom was another. Sometimes, I wasn't looking for lyrical talent, but I was listening more for the musical output that came from these bands.
Of course, now I am still listening to new bands, expanding my horizons, but Metal will always be my favourite genre because it's so easy to listen to for me. It doesn't matter what type of metal it is, I can listen to it. The music gets me hooked on it. So if I like the music, chances are i'll overrate the band to fuck lol.

I choose hard rock. Hard rock is mixed between some of the best bands in this world. I think that the old ones where to heavy to be hard rock, more of Metal than rock, I enjoy the middle between old and new, the new is a bit senseless at times and are mixed up, yet the middle is just perfect. Some of the new ones are good like the middle.

Hardcore. I love the energy. The fast way of playing or the slow jumpy beats. I enjoy a lot of music that can't just be applied to one genre.

Hip Hop.
The Beats are sick and the lyrics are smart with certain rappers. You cant find that in any other kind of music.

I don't think I could possibly narrow it down to one thing, but it's gotta be bluesy, raunchy, heavy, and loud. It's got to have sex, and aim straight for the crotch(fucken ow). I like many different other things, and often get tired of just straight heavy, but for the most part, it's monolithic riffs and a steady pounding beat.

I laughed and snot came out my nose.
I listen to Hard Rock and a bit of metal more than any other genre, so I would call Hard Rock my favourite genre of music to listen to. Sexy songs are most definitely the best kind.
My favourite genre of music to sing though is different. I sing Jazz songs, Rock and Roll songs and older Pop songs.
