Definately the Beatles. Many acts have admitted that there main influence is the Beatles. Green Day pay tribute to John lennon in a cover of one of his songs, Daniel Johns (Silver Chair) uses the same guitar as Paul Mccartny in respect to the band. The list just goes on.
