Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters is an American alternative rock and post-grunge band formed by singer/guitarist Dave Grohl in 1995. Grohl formed the group as a one-man project after the dissolution of his previous band Nirvana in 1994. Prior to the release of Foo Fighters in 1995, Grohl drafted Nate Mendel (bass), William Goldsmith (drums), and Pat Smear (guitar) to complete the group. Goldsmith and Smear left after the recording of the group's second album The Colour and the Shape (1997). They were replaced by Taylor Hawkins and Franz Stahl, respectively, although Stahl left prior to the recording of the group's third album, There Is Nothing Left to Lose (1999).
Chris Shiflett joined as the band's second guitarist after the completion of There is Nothing Left to Lose. The band released its fourth album One by One in 2002. The group followed that release with the two-disc In Your Honor (2005), which was split between acoustic songs and harder-rocking material. Foo Fighters released its sixth album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace in 2007. Over the course of the band's career, three of its albums have won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album, and all six have been nominated for Grammys.

Re: Foo Fighters
Favourite foos album anyone? Personally I can't choose between the first two (foo fighters and colour and shape), but Echoes is a close second.

Re: Foo Fighters
My favourite would be "There is Nothing Left To Lose" or "One By One".
Both quality albums.

Re: Foo Fighters
Foo Fighters are one of the few bands of this generation I can see going on to become legends. Every Foo Fighter albums has had several great songs on it and Dave Grohl is a genius. "The Colour and the Shape" was by far their greatest CD. Their self-titled has always been one of my favorites and of course how can you forget the hit list that is "There Is Nothing Left to Lose". Their newer albums have been good, "One by One" and "In Your Honor" especially. I wasn't that impressed by their most recent album, "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace" I didn't even know they were releasing it until it popped up in Best Buy one week. Overall though, this band is amazing.
Re: Foo Fighters
I think their pretty good. I've heard most of their songs on the radio, or on youtube. I have the album "echos, silence, patience & grace" and i like it. I actually found out about nirvana (my previous fav band) through the foo fighters. I think they have a good sound. My favorite song by them would probubly be "monkey wrench". But all their songs are good, so it does'nt really matter.
